Auditions for 2017 are now closed

If you would like to be notified of auditions for 2018, please email with your child's photo and CV, and we will send you an email when the next audition date is announced.


Auditions are held at our studios in Brunswick East once a year, usually in March.

Auditionees are divided into groups according to age and are required to participate in a number of activities including improvisational games, story-telling, mock screen-tests and script reading.

All auditionees are also asked to prepare an age-appropriate monologue. A list of monologues will be provided. Performers who wish to sing should bring a backing track on a mobile device or CD.


Centrestage Agency charges an annual administration fee in order to standardize the cost for parents. This fee covers the following services:

  • An annual professional photographic session (AKA "headshots").
  • Listing on our password-protected website and database.
  • Creation of a personal profile on both Showcast and Casting Networks, which are the two main casting websites used by all major casting directors, producers and advertising agencies in Australia. It is imperative to be listed on both of these websites in order to be submitted for daily casting opportunities.

New Members:
Children under 16 – $350 (inc GST)
Children 16 & over – $375 (inc GST)

Returning Members:
Children under 16 – $295 (inc GST)
Children 16 & over – $305 (inc GST)

Commission Fees

Centrestage charges commission on all bookings in accordance with the guidelines set out by the Australian Drama Agents Association:

10% (+GST) for film, TV & stage for entire run of contract
15% (+GST) for commercials & print advertising
